What type of sports did you participate in as a kid?

Baseball, football, and basketball.

What are your top  fitness tips for the post 45 athlete?

My top fitness tips for the post 45 athlete would be:

  • Ensure you have a clean diet. A huge portion of fitness is what you eat.
  • Focus more on high intensity weight training rather than cardio based training.

What adversity have you had to overcome as an athlete?

I was struck by a 92 mph fastball while I was at bat in a game at minor league level. The impact shattered my mouth and took a substantial amount of time to heal.

For the advanced post 45 athlete who has plateaued- what advice would you give them to take things to the next level?

The best thing to do is switch up your workout. Avoid doing the same thing over and over as this will stop working after a while. Try incorporating high-intensity cross training rather than “big boy” weights.

What made you become a chiropractor and what do you enjoy most about your profession?

I enjoy helping people get rid of their pain. I have a gift to heal and I enjoy changing someone’s life after chronic pain.

What 3 supplements provide the most bang for your buck for the post 45 athletes looking to maximize their performance in the gym?

  • Clean plant-based protein
  • Omegas, for inflammation
  • Plenty of water- hydration is very important!
