Robby Robinson’s Top Strategies For Reducing Inflammation

There are so many natural remedies for inflammation. Below are some of the top strategies that I have used myself and with my clients over the past 50 years.

  • Cinnamon – is best known as a blood sugar stabilizing superhero, and also contains a host of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial compounds, making it a powerful tool for preventing blood sugar spikes and systemic inflammation.
  • Rosemary – is a great source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help boost the immune system and improve blood circulation.
  • Garlic – contains diallyl disulfide, an anti-inflammatory compound that limits the effects of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Therefore, garlic can help fight inflammation and may even help prevent cartilage damage from arthritis.
  • Clove – according clove has been used as an expectorant, and to treat upset stomach, nausea, and inflammation of the mouth and throat. Research is still mixed, but evidence suggests that they may have anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Cat’s claw – is frequently used as an anti-inflammatory agent in treating arthritis and gastrointestinal inflammation.
  • White WillowThis research article from Penn State Herhsey states the bark of white willow contains salicin, which is a chemical similar to aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid). In combination with the herb’s powerful anti-inflammatory plant compounds (called flavonoids), salicin is thought to be responsible for the pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects of the herb.
  • Cayenne pepper – contains natural compounds called capsaicinoids. These are what give the spicy fruit its anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Turmeric  – recent studies show turmeric helps prevent and reduce joint inflammation. This reduces pain, stiffness, and inflammation related to arthritis. Learn more here
